I saw the trailer at the cinema, I was not impressed.
I am a huge fan of the original films (except 3 which was pants!), and this current run of remaking classics is not doing Hollywood any favours. They all seem to be dull and don't capture the essence of the originals. I have seen the Texas Chainsaw, Hills Have Eyes and Dawn Of The Dead remakes, only the last one made any impact.
My worst fear is the Friday The 13th remake, with Michael Bay at the helm, this is my favourite horror series of all time and I will refuse to see the remake. It is completely unnecessary.
Hollywood needs to be more creative, delving into cinematic history and remaking films shows a lack of talent in the industry. Even King Kong was not as good as the original, and look at the budget and Director.
There is originality out there, great examples are Wes Cravens Red Eye, Cube, and the upcoming soon to be cult classic Snakes On A Plane!

I was a bit impressed with the trailer that was posted on Bloody Disgusting. Hopefully the film will surpirse a lot of people but I'm having my doubts.
