Team Sandbug to cross the Sahara by 1971 Beetle..
For interest, we're doing the Plymouth to Banjul Challenge (poor man's Paris Dakar) later this year in a 1971 Baja-style Beetle.
Rules of the challenge are that cars should cost no more than £100 and teams should spend only around £15 preparing them.
Cars that make it the 6000km to Banjul, the capital of the Gambia are handed over to the challenge organisers to be auctioned for Gambian charities & good causes.
We're also using the event to raise funds for the Born Free Foundation.
