 GREETINGS FROM GUY IN ENGLAND!
Hello! I must congratulate you all on your wonderful club! Yuri has sent me some really outstanding & brilliant photographs of your cars. I thank Alex 008, Tjeerd 128, Ido & Ton for the pleasure of seeing their cars! I will be writing about you all - with photos, in the 166 section of the U.K Alfa Romeo Owners Club Magazine in June & August. I will send Yuri both copies. I am sorry this is written in English, for I cannot speak any Dutch! I have not discovered how to send you a photo of my 166 Twin-Spark yet, but Yuri has some photos that I e-mailed to him.

Glad you like my pictures. You comment about my car's numberplate wishing you could have like this in Holland....I expect that you may know, but here in England you have to buy the plate if you want something personal; you can only buy if what you want is of course available!I have had my plate for some 10 years....it cost then about £300.
"K44 GUY"...."K"= Knighton,(where I was born);
"44"= 1944, (year I was born); & "GUY" is of course my christian-name.
Yuri, YES, it would be great to meet at an alfa meeting some day soon!

Lovely 166 you've got there Guy. A 166 is already quite rare in the UK, but one in Rosso Alfa must be extremely rare.
Is the spider also yours?

Dear Selespeed,
Thank you for your kind comments about my Alfa Red 166 Twin-Spark. It is easily the best car that I have ever owned in 35 years of motoring! The car is eight years old in June. The 'Spider' is not mine, it belongs to a member of our local AROC South Midlands Group.
Within the national AROC we have just over 80 owners of different types of the 166, not at all bad when there are so few 166's in the U.K!
You are quite correct, not too many U.K 166's are coloured in Alfa Red! It is my favourite colour for an Alfa!
I have to spend a lot of money soon on my car having the front bumper, both wing-mirrors & one wing stripped & re-sprayed....this is because of 'stone-chips' causing the clear laquer to flake off when water & frost penetrates!- also fading of the red paint on the wing!

Do you also know Gibbo (silver 166) and his partner Lynn (red GT). I know they are members of AROC UK.

Hello Guy. I wonder where you live in the UK? Because my sister lives there, I visit England a few times a year, maybee we can meet there ones, to make some nice pictures from our cars. She lives in Hitchin. And i normaly take the channel crossing.
