MY 166 GETS A NEW PAINT-JOB!
Dear friends, it is, I regret to say, some time since I contributed, but I have finally got around to putting 'finger to keyboard!'
Some news of my 166 twin-spark: The Alfa Red colour was starting to fade badly & the clear laquer over the red was actualy 'flaking-off' in some areas! So, I have had no option but to have the car resprayed all-over. Expensive, but money well spent as the car now looks 'brand new!'
I am going to attempt to include some photos with this text....please excuse if I do not succeed!
Best wishes from England,
GUY BERESFORD-LINNELL. www.engine-art.co.uk

Re: MY 166 GETS A NEW PAINT-JOB!
Allready in the 164 era, Alfa red was fading to pink after a few years. It´s a pity, because it is offcoarse one of the best colours for an Alfa.
But the (expensive) advantage of this is that you get a bright and fresh car, when done properly better than new!
It´s a pity that the 166 has not been sold in the classic elementary Alfa colours that often. Most of them are metallic gray, brown, dark blue etc. I like the basic colours very much, with which i mean red, black, yellow, white etc.
