Missing grey and white male cat Wollaton Park area Nottingham

Roni is a grey and white short hair male cat.
He is quite large in size and has distinctive markings. He has four white paws, a grey nose and chin and a grey patch on his white chest.

He is 4 years old and was wearing a black collar with a white reflective eye pattern and bell when he went missing.

He was last seen on Broughton Drive in the Wollaton Park area of Nottingham on Wednesday 12th August. He is not from the area as he was being looked after while we were on holiday but managed to escape through a window. He may be trying to find his way back to the Stapleford area of Nottingham or he may even be completely lost.

He is a very shy and timid cat so may be hiding in a garden shed or greenhouse. Please check your gardens.

Please help us find our much loved pet, we are very worried and want him back safely.

I am sorry - such a disappointment for you. He's a very distinctive and handsome cat- hopefully he'll be home soon. Have you put posters up? And is he chipped?

Hi, yes we've put poster all around the Wollaton area and I've put flyers through the doors on the street he was last seen but sadly we've still had no confirmed sightings.

I've even got him advertised in the Evening Post but still no luck. I'm just worried now because he is a very timid cat and to not have had even 1 confirmed sighting in over 5 weeks is very worrying. I don't think there is much else I can do though as I've also rang all the RSPCA's, vets, etc and still nothing.

I'm just hoping the saying 'no news is good news' is true in this case and he's hiding somewhere safe.

He's also not chipped which is something I really regret not having done now.

It must be so disheartening but do remember that people don't really notice or recognise that a cat is a stray. They always assume it lives nearby and is passing through and has a home to go to. It's only when the cat keeps coming back and looks hungry and dishevelled that a concerned individual will recognise the cat is lost and do something about it. Do keep trying - it can take months and you are " fortunate" that he's a very distinctive looking cat. Keep visiting the RSPCA at Radcliffe- they don't always tie up a cat coming in with ones reported missing. After a few weeks, poster again to remind people you're still looking and , if you've not already done so, ask local vets to stick a poster up. And, sadly, ring your local Council to see if they've picked him up as a casualty. Lots of luck and I hope you have good news soon.
