any news? Apart from ringing the RSPCA, it's worth going to the shelter and checking every few weeks. Don't assume they'll contact you if a cat matching your description comes in

Re: Lost Female tabby cat - Mapperley- Bennet street/woodborough Rd
Don't get disheartened. Early days yet. Lots of cats aren't identified as strays until they've been hanging around for weeks and are looking abit run down or coming for food every day. People always assume the cat lives somewhere nearby and isn't lost. Have you put posters up in local shops/vets? TneRSPCA have a rescue at Hyson Green as well as Radcliffe. There's also Cats Protection League and advertising in Lost and Found of the Evening Post. If your cat has, as you think, been taken, she may find her way home. And as awful as it seems, contact with Nottm Council, to see if they've collected a dead cat matching your cat's description, may at least give you closure.
Remember that weeks can go by before she is picked up as a stray and taken to a rescue, so keep in contact with the rescues for the next few months. I wish you every good luck in finding her.
