Protection of ANZAC and Anzac
Another dud Minister for Veterans Affairs has lost her Ministerial post. I am not sorry. De-Anne Kelly continued the do nothing tradition of Bruce Scott and Danna Vale.
They all proved useless.
Scott and Kelly both allowed multi national companies to profit by selling the name Anzac as in the "Great Anzac Tattoo" of a couple of years back and The Anzac Military Tattoo coming up in 2006.
The Legislation is plain in that the word is to be protected. Neither Scott nor Kelly saw fit to do so.
Kelly also refused to stop the ARL from fielding a second stringer team of footballers as "The Anzacs". They had been told not to, but when they did she waited 100 days to send them a letter that said she was "disappointed".
When I break the speeding laws the policeman does not wait 100 days and tell me he is disappointed. He writes the ticket on the spot and if I continue to do it (as ARL did) I lose my licence.
Lets hope the new Minister is an improvement.

Posters for the ANZAC Military Tattoo are now on sale on Ebay for $8.
This has Ministerial approval.
What the hey, why not Honest Al's Anzac Used Cars or Tabatha T Titswobbles Anzac Massage Parlour?
