Re: 90th Anniversary Villers
Please God , I shall be there and for the 100th too! I attend on the day (which is not always the day of the ceremonies). Not once have I ever been the only person there at dawn. "MO"

Re: 90th Anniversary Villers
It is really the 'Second Battle of Villers-Bretonneux' which occurred on 24/25 April 1918.
The first battle of Villers-Bretonneux was the one referred to as 'The Saving of Amiens' and it was fought mainly by the NSW -raised 9th Infantry Brigade on 4th April 1918.
Somehow this has been overshadowed. I have an account of the First Battle of Villers-Bretonneux in my previously published "Coal Miner Diggers - Hunter Valley Coal Miners at The Great War."
