To the Passchendaele 1917-2007 with a special flight!!
In 2007 it will be 90 years ago that the Battle of Passchendaele took place.
On the 4th october 1917 the ANZACS launched a massive assault on the German lines. It was a big success, but of course a lot of soldiers died in that fight.
To commemorate that part of the battle the Memorial Museum Passchendaele 1917 organises a Anzac week. It starts with an official service on thursday 4th October. Friday it is a gastronomical evening + the start of the ANZAC living history event. On saturday there is an Anzac walk + musical shows. And on sunday there is a rugby match and the end of the living history.
The living history groups will do a walk from 3- 5th October.
Because we know that so many people want to come over for this special and unique commemoration, we arranged a special flight from QANTAS.
The ‘Passchendaele flight’ will go from NZ & Syndey to Brussels (2nd October) and back (12th October). The flight has a special price who gives you an extra advantage. Estimated price +- 2000 AUD (Australian $).
Everybody is welcome to join the flight: re-enactors, family, WW1 interested people. It is a unique opportunity to visit the Salient with famous ANZAC places like: Pops (Poperinge), Passchendaele, Ypres, Polygon Wood, Broodseinde, Messines, Menin Road, …
The more people that join the flight, the cheaper it becomes.
