The SOMME ANZAC weekend at Pozieres! 21-23 july 2006
HI,
SRD (the Salient Re-enactors Detachment) has contacts with Pozieres. The famous village were the Anzacs fought during the battle of the Somme, France.
We are planning an event from 21 - 23 july 2006 to remember the battle of Poziere of 1916.
The event will be IN Poziere and ends with a "sound and light" on sunday.
All will be provided except the food, but SRD will take care of that (maybe a very small fee).
We will have a campsite, water, toilets,... and maybe a few trenches!
You need to bring your own PERIOD tents.
THIS EVENT IS ALSO OPEN TO GERMANS!!!!
All ANZACS re-enactors welcome (so also Kiwi's)
