40th Bn
Currently researching the 40th Bn & building a website & database as part of my project.
Interested in hearing from anyone with interests in this battalion or the 12th, 15th & 26th bns.
Would also be keen to know of any lists or databases of known Aboriginal diggers from Tassie.

Just curious - do you have a copy of "With the Fortieth" (published in memory of Lt N.R.J. Meagher KIA 4/10/1917)?
If not - it's now available on CD through "Archive CD Books".

Thanks Frev, I bought the digital version last year, but earlier this year I was very fortunate to be given a real copy of the book, signed by Lt Meagher's father for the CO of the battalion Lt-Col JEC Lord. I actually used it today in a workshop at the Queen Vic museum in Launceston!
