13th Battalion - Harold Wesley George 1660
I am looking for further information regarding Pte Harold Wesley George 1660 who served in the 13th Battalion. Harold George played rugby for Australia prior to enlisting in Jan 1915. He served at Gallipoli and was wounded on 9/5/1915, was evacuated and died of his wounds on 10/5/1915. He was buried at sea en route to Alexandria, the service conducted by the Chaplain from HMS London. His brother, Roy W George 2520, also served in the 13th before transferring to the 45th Bn - he was KIA on 5/4/1918 at Dernancourt.
