Re: 14th Battalion AIF,Bullecourt battle
You should read Harry Murray's account of this battle in 'Mad Harry', a recently released book. His account appears in the appendix of the book. Murray at this time was in the 13th which attacked with the 14th.

Re: 14th Battalion AIF,Bullecourt battle
Rule's Jacka's Mobwas recently republished and can be found from many military book dealers on the net. Jacka served with 14/AIF and fought at Bullecourt.
If you ever make it to Bullecourt there is an excellent private museum there; details at:

Plus perhaps,
The History of the Fourteenth Battalion AIF,
Newton Wanlis.
first published Melb 1929.
This one has been reprinted by Burridge in 1987.
I think saw an 'original' for sale last week.
Cheers

Re: 14th Battalion AIF,Bullecourt battle
Paul
I agree the private museum at Bullecourt is worth the visit.
I visited the museum in 2000 and the owner showed me through. I am pleased to hear it is still open.
I have been to the Somme three times and stayed with Julie Renshaw - Les Galets on a couple of occasions. I am slowly learning the Australian sites on the Western Front.
Regards
Mark
