The Anzac Story for boys and girls
On 25 April 1915 a bloke called T A Miles went ashore at Anzac Cove. In 1957 he wrote a book called The Anzac Story for boys and girls. He did not aim it at an adult audience HOWEVER.............for the casual reader (not the historians or specialists)it is probably as good a short introduction to the whole campaigh as I have read.
He avoids the common trap of forgetting the Brits, the French the Indians and SHOCK HORROR he even gets the New Zealanders into the story. That is something most Aussie historians don't do.
As a Christmas present to my grandchildren I have transferred that book to the web. It is at
The ANZAC STORY for boys and girls
