THE ALPS : “bringing a confident new sound back to London" (Xfm), Fuss free post punk TUNES with their own thorny 21st century twist. The Greenwich quartet create three-minute gems that look set to barge their way into mainstream consciousness, if the reaction to their first singles are anything to go by. Steve Lamacq gave 'World at War' their first Radio 1 play. Both 'World At War' and follow up, 'Last Dance' - were both Xfm radio play listed and earned The Alps two live Xfm sessions. They were described as "awesome" from David Hasselhoff, played last year's Reading Festival and Artful Party. This year a triumphant Italian Tour, then The Mighty Boosh Aftershow Party and, recently The Tiscali Showcase. The Alps are working on their debut album. THE PEPYS
sharp alt-blues noise pop getting many thumbs up. South East London's Keep-An-Ear-Outs with their whistfully lyrical newer wave tunes.

THE POSTCARDS
make very occasional live appearances around London. Their sets are fast and fun - whizzing through short, sharp blasts of bittersweet guitar-pop, only pausing to mop their brow and say hello.
