==================================
SAINT JUDE
Imagine Joplin singing Motown fronting a full on blues rock explosion. Prepare to be stunned.

Saint Jude is Lynne Jackaman, John Robertson, Adam Green, Jo Wadeson, Elliot Mortimer and Lee Cook. T Formed in 003 by these friends with a shared love of old soul and classic rock, who are now working with the legendary Stones producer Chris Kimsey on their first album. Saint Jude have spent their summer writing, gigging and paying their almighty rhythmic dues!
A band which is certainly talented enough to climb the musical ladder of success with great live performances and an ability to soak up listeners with their tantric lyrics in a bath tub full of musical genius. They have an individual acoustic style/ These musicians exhume brilliance to the ears.
"The audience got an infuse of 70s style southern psycadelic rock, hard and catchy enough to make even the strongest non believers question their morals. Lynne Jackaman's Janis Joplin Pipes and Tori Amos style kept the audiences attention while the band poured their heart out into every sweat soaked blues note, keeping the audience moving, shaking and mesmerized throughout their 40 minute set.”
THEE SINGLE SPY
Dark alt-folk Gothic black 'n' blues invoking the spirit or cracklier times and rhymes.

AMADEUS & THE COMPOSER
An amazing acoustic duo with startlingly simply beautiful songs. "Simple guitar and vocals set up, but my gosh are they good. For music that will make you smile, look no further." (Red Fan Music)

on a personal note, Saint Jude hit me, like a bolt of lightening, between the eyes and immediately they were begged on to the bill at New Cross Inn (Sept 006) where they literally gob smacked the audience. I thought they were a precious secret, why weren't more people talking about them. The other day (Feb 007) we're meeting in the bar planning an event, and Saint Jude are on everybody's wish list. One person's seen them at the Live Bar in November and is frothing with excitement, another goes to see them quite a bit and says that Ronnie Wood is a fan and shows up at quite a few of their gigs. It's not just me then. Really. Come and see Saint Jude and see if you spot any potential...(McNaughty)
North P.O.L.E. happens on the first Thursdays of the month. In April we have the hippest hoppest rock of ILLEGITEMATE SONS OF THE KING with THE STANDARDS + THE SUGGESTIONS + THE FLAMINGOES and in May we have POPULAR WORKSHOP + BLAH BLAH BLAH + MAD STARING EYES
If you are an entertaining, ambitous, self marketing band that would like to join in the playing class vibe of Music Tourist Board contact Jane Deane, queen of the north p.o.l.e. via http://www.myspace.com/janedeane
p.s. bring back line to share for ease of change over, and make it a bit of a do so that you can earn money - (we share the door takings out after the bands. If you've played at P.O.L.E. and want a night out, get in touch for guest list

Re: P.O.L.E. : 01 MAR - SAINT JUDE + THEE SINGLE SPY + AMADEUS & THE COMPOSER
SAINT JUDE
LONDON SHOW (Barfly 15th April) and UK TOUR DATES with THE WATERBOYS
Britain is still producing timeless, classic, world class bands in the 21st century. SAINT JUDE are authentic and their mojo is definitely rising. Imagine a modern day Joplin singing Motown fronting a full on blues rock explosion. Prepare to be stunned. SAINT JUDE have just finished working with legendary Stones producer Chris Kimsey and their debut EP, "DIARY OF A
SOUL FIEND" is available now on iTunes.
SAINT JUDE formed by friends with a shared love of old soul and classic rock. They are certainly talented enough to climb the musical ladder of success with great live performances and an ability to soak up listeners with their tantric lyrics in a bath tub full of musical genius. They have an individual style - with influences as diverse as Aretha Franklin, Led Zeppelin, The Faces, The Black Crowes and Supergrass - and exude brilliance to the ears.
Fuelled by their love of vintage Rock n Roll , Old Soul and playing live, the band have set about forging their own unique sound. Add to this some incredible song writing, the stunning vocals of Lynne Jackaman and the raw power of a band at their peak, Saint Jude are ready to spread their rock and roll gospel to the world.
Reports say... "...An infuse of 70s style southern psychedelic rock, hard and catchy enough to make even the strongest non believers question their morals. ...The band poured their heart out into every sweat soaked blues note, keeping the audience moving, shaking and mesmerised throughout their set.”
Having just been personally invited by Pete Doherty to support Baby Shambles at their recent Rhythm Factory stint and with Ronnie Wood turning up to their shows they are now ready take to the road as special guests of The Waterboys next month. If you really love music then you really shouldn’t miss SAINT JUDE on this tour.
