THE SKUZZIES
Talk about the deep end! New Century Punk phenomenom The Skuzzies were born supporting Babyshambles in front of 4,000 wild fans at the Astoria. They won them over...
A following period of homeless squat life and hard times forged them into a tight gang by the end of last year. Now now they have started to literally rip this city to shreds with their dirty punk live show.
Strokes' producer, Gordon Raphael, who worked with them on their demo described them as "the best band in London in the last five years". Their label, Framingo, recently signed them on the premise that they weren't "posh Hoxton popsters" - having originated in London's lower east side, there's no chance of that!
Managed by Johnny Thunders mate/biograher Nina Antonia, and hoovering up fans, they are already one of the bands being tipped to keep an eye on in the new year. Music Tourist Board says, why wait? 4Real...

BLAST
"Controversial young stars" Guardian Guide.
Russia's top underground sensation hit town. They play what Time Out describes as "Dirty, sleazy alternative Rock'n'Roll" - and take no prisoners...
These "frantic Russian pop-rockers" (Kerrang) deliver a full on live show. "Controversial rockers who have a major following in their hometown of Moscow"(Metro). Blast already have admirers in the UK.
They've been interviewed on Xfm, played on Radio 1 and have played with Blur, Muse, The Orb, Franz Ferdinand, Razorlight and more - as well as recently featuring in Observer Music Magazine with Noel Gallagher. From Moscow with revolution and vodka.
Luckily they're playing London University's newly revamped S.U. venue which also happens to serve the cheapest drinks in the West End.
Blast are "Waiting to explode in the UK" (Classic Rock Magazine). Be here when they do.
