Burlesque Acts Appearing On Friday 09th May

Crimson Skye – Still on the run from the law, the SKA Burlesque welcomes back fan favourite Crimson Skye and boy is this jailbird as crazy as ever. If you’re lucky you might even catch a glimpse of Ed, the severed head of her cheating ex. catch her while you can....

Chiquita – Fresh from getting first place at the London Burlesque Festival’s best newcomer with troupe, the SKA Burlesque welcomes Chiquita to the stage for the very first time.

Bella Besame - Bella Besame is a performer, promoter and teacher of burlesque. When she isn't running her fantastic Slippery Belle Burlesque and Cabaret shows, or teaching the art of the tease she travels all over the country spinning her tassels and dazzling audiences with her tongue in cheek routines! (http://www.myspace.com/bellabesame).

Miss Slinky – With skills ranging from tassel twirling to escapology, Miss Slinky’s freak show burlesque will dazzle amaze and even scare the hardest of South Londoners while keeping you on the edge of your seat!

Live Bands Appearing On Friday 09th May

The Scaredy Cats – The Scaredy Cats pay homage to original Jamaican ska, British 2-tone, and American 3rd wave as well as taking lessons from a variety of punk and rock bands. The result is a distinct hard rocking ska with a no-nonsense 3 piece brass section and dual vocal. The lyrics address such contentious issues as break-ups, wanting to take a holiday, music festivals being ****, bad dreams and absent friends. (http://www.myspace.com/scaredycats )
No.1 Station - An eight piece band consisting of a driving rhythm section, blistering horns, and melodic blues vocals, No.1 Station get the crowds on their feet, rocking to the beat wherever they perform. No.1 Station are the vanguards of a new generation of Blue Beat - the generic name given to Jamaican music in Britain in the 1960's. Playing authentic Ska, Rocksteady, and Reggae in the way it was originally intended. (http://www.myspace.com/no1station )

Original Muzik Enterprise - With laid back catchy grooves, OME write music with the intention of making people dance. The lyrics are a social commentary about the world in which the band members live and are often quite political. The songs on their E.P. describe their local area, the burden of getting up at 6am to go to work and the rise of gangs and gun crime across South London.
