Re: PROGRESS FROM MAR 008

Once Upon Another Time album (POLE CLUB label created artful006) http://www.tunetribe.com/Label?label_id=2776

Seeing Scarlet have now completed their album, Mental Notes, started getting attention and the video for the 2007 recording of We Will All Be Aliens nominated a Short Film Of The Year.

Gear are one of the UK's hardest rocking underground punk bands with increasing demand for their livewire festival appearances.

William have been garnering much praise across the board and will play at this year's Camden Crawl.

Making Eyes At Elvis went back to school to finish their education. Future look out.

The Darling Reds amassed a crazy following, exploded on stage at People's Day Festival 006, literally as they brought the field to it's knees then split up. A great loss. Singer Rob Bligh joined White Man Kamikaze and made solo appearances as Mr Bligh.

Nicky Wire / Manic Street Preachers received the Godlike Genius Award at NME awards. Quite rightly. This track will be the theme of forthcoming on line TV Show Earlier.

The Fairies Band are one of the most exhibited punk artist collectives and wildest rock chick families ever. Essential live...

Dexy got noticed by experienced management as the gem in British pop that he is (also by European and USA media). Dexy & The Hand Me Downs played their first gig in July 007 at New Cross Inn. By the end of the year, The Wedding Present invited them to support their sellout Koko show and Rocklouder hailed them Britain's best new countrypunk bank. 2008 demo recording begins...

The Betes Noires became Cutaways and are one of the top live attractions on the Belfast alternative scene and a favourite at N.I.N.G. events in London.

Nebraska released an immense album The Path To The Silent Country and heaps of praise. Articulate and intense pop for those tired of feeble polite apologetic damp squib chart fodder.

The Needles went on to be everywhere, played the last Dirty Sounds club and disappeared. HOpefully to hear more of them soon.

Innercity Pirates are being picked up as a hot new thing. The cardiff alt-rockers tour in March.

Korova won the Radio 1 evening session demo vote with 98%, played some magic shows, then education beckoned for the young genius trio.

Empty Vessels couldn't afford to keep gigging what with living in London and Oxford, holding down jobs etc. Eventually split up. Matt Finucane is still an otherwordly chap what sings.

Chet were torn between USA and UK so one of the finest rock bands Britain has produced in ages no longer exist. If you didn't see them live, apologies.

Jonny Lives! Get Steady became a track on the Van Wilder movie, earning the band **** loads of money to make an album with. Jonny Dubowsky has established the Rock'n'Renew campaign which Debbie Harry, Kaiser Chiefs and more have already come on board with. Came from New York and played in New Cross the same day as Dexy & The Hand Me Downs began their live career.

Hey Gravity! are making a big name for themselves in Europe, appeared Channel 4 TV and currently recording.

White Man Kamikaze became one of the biggest rock bands in Eastern Europe (6,000 people going MENTAL for them in Estonia). The band are bloody nutters. Mark Lamarr of 6 Music made them one of his Top 20 songs of all time. You couldn't write their story and be belived. In short, they split up earlier this year. Look out for Mulka's hair cut at all the best gigs. Ex members of WMK are in Obvious Books, Public Services Announcers...

The Veez are off to Miami, today. They support The Bravery at the massive Miami festival. Having played THREE Glastonbury shows and supported Kasabian at Jersey Live, they can handle a massive stage.

Dolium are The Black Stripes, and highly revered on the underground punk scene.

There is a myspace with a link to all the above bands http://www.myspace.com/onceuponanothertime but the password, email etc is lost so it'll just hang there for posterity.
