Deptford X Open & Fringe Events
Calling all visual artists with a SE postcode, we want to tell the world how great you are! Deptford X, one of London’s leading contemporary visual arts festivals, would like to invite visual artists, organisations and networks to take part in Deptford X 2006.
Deptford X will take place between 4th November – 4th December and there are various ways you can participate:
1. Deptford X Open
We are looking for artists with an SE postcode to submit work for the Deptford X open.
Work will be selected by a panel and exhibited at the APT gallery, in doctor’s surgeries and on a virtual gallery from 4th – 20th November.
2. The Deptford X Fringe
Deptford X would like to invite artists to run exhibitions and events in the Deptford area during the festival. This will be a great opportunity to promote and sell your work.
3. Open Studio
Deptford X will be running 2 open studio weekends, 24th – 26th November and 1st – 3rd December. We are looking for studios throughout Deptford to open their doors and let the public in.
Publicity
There is no fee for taking part in Deptford X, this is just a great opportunity to promote and sell your work.
We will publicise you exhibition / event as follows:
1. Listing in the Deptford X brochure, which will be distributed throughout London
2. Listing & links on the newly designed Deptford X website
Additionally we will also be circulating a press release to newspapers, magazines, radio, TV and other media outlets.
How to get involved
If you would like to take part in Deptford X please send an e-mail with the following wording in the subject heading: “open” if you would like to receive information about the Deptford X open
“fringe” if you would like to receive information about the Deptford X fringe
“studio” if you would like to receive information about the Deptford X Open studio
Send the e-mail to info @ deptfordx.org (no spaces, of course!) and information will then be forward to you.
Deadline for entriesis Monday 21st August, at 5pm.
