South East Bank of London - Creative core community of a creative city. (Even the estates - Sanford, Pepys, Crossfields etc - have their own music/arts festivals! - let alone all the various individuals and disorganisations that flavour the locality).
With more galleries than any other part of London in Deptford, a multi cultural multi dimensional population and poets, musicians, students and friendly nutters all over the place it's no wonder that Real London (i.e. South London and East London) doesn't get as much of a look in on the tourist front.
But that's what keeps it real, somewhere to discover. An ungentrifiable, virtual pirate's cove where the real treasure is the community. To discover it's true potential, South East X needs to cherish it's neediest most.
