Oct. 13-14, 20-21 – APPLE HARVEST FESTIVAL - Ellijay
Eleven of Gilmer County’s 18 apple orchards are spread along mountain and valley scenic vistas. A great day drive on State Highway 52. From late August to December, roadside stands offer the tastiest, tree-ripened mountain apples available anywhere. The second and third weekends of October each year, people from all over the nation come to Ellijay to celebrate the Apple Festival. Handmade arts and crafts, homegrown entertainment, and fun combined with every apple product imaginable to make the weekends a family adventure. Admission and Parking are FREE.
