"I AM Auburn" -- a new AAC effort -- read more!
The Atlanta Auburn Club is starting a new effort that we're calling -- I AM Auburn.
We all have a story to tell, so jot yours down and send it to us. To get things started, we've asked some club volunteers to make the first contributions:
I AM Auburn
I bleed Orange and Blue -- always have, always will. I work a full time job and then volunteer the equivalent of second full time job to the Atlanta Auburn Club -- because I love it! I've had countless War Eagle moments, including when I was living in Munich, Germany and happened upon some War Eagle Travelers who needed directions to the Hofbrauhaus! (Of course I joined them!) I get teary eyed at the sight of the Eagle's flight, feel at home every time I hear the bells at Samford Hall, and lose my voice cheering the Tigers even when watching a game on TV. I take great pride in telling my friends that Auburn is one big family with a giant heart. It's MY family--one that's spread around the world, yet still understands the charm and significance of a small spot called Toomer's Corner. Best part? We never need a reason for a reunion!
I AM Auburn! AAC President Kathleen Saal

Since my enrollment at Auburn in '77, few Auburn moments can compare to that of enrolling my first born at Auburn in the fall of 2006! For my son to be home in Atlanta and fully appreciate a "War Eagle" response to his Auburn hat....that is priceless and worth every dime of out-of-state tuition! I AM Auburn!....and now my son is too! Jan Floyd-Ros, Former Miss Auburn & AAC Board Member

Are you Auburn? Tell us your story and we'll run it in our newsletter! Email it to the Atlanta Auburn Club and post it to the new "I AM Auburn" Forum that we'll be putting on our message board.
