from Tammy Trout '88
In a military family, I grew up moving all over the country. None of my family attended Auburn - at least not before me. I passed up free tuition at the hated state school of Georgia (before HOPE), and my beloved father paid out-of-state. Any place with "Hey Day" was right for me. I moved to Auburn not knowing one person. Twenty years later, it's where I see my best friends - my Auburn family. Something happens to my heart as soon as I exit on East Glenn. I'm back home. I read The Plainsman faithfully; own a dozen pairs of orange shoes; and keep a score poster on my office door no matter how the season goes. I adore Aubie like a 5-year-old; crave Guthrie's over any other option; and still have a Supper Club card in my wallet. I AM AUBURN.
