SENIOR FIRMWARE ENGINEER

The Senior Firmware Engineer is responsible for the specification, design, test, and documentation of Embedded Systems Firmware used in CoachComm’s products. Extensive experience with Embedded Systems firmware development practices, languages and tools. Ability to analyze system requirements, lead embedded firmware development efforts, collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering personnel, mentor junior firmware engineers, and support/improve the firmware development infrastructure. Write code using embedded languages and Unit test code. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with 6-8 years experience with complex embedded systems development. 8-10 years experience preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of firmware development methodologies and processes. Expert level with embedded languages such as C, C++, Assembly, etc. Extensive experience with firmware project management. Extensive experience with TI, Freescale and Microchip development and environments and tools. Must be proficient with emulators, scopes, logic analyzers, etc. Good interpersonal skills, with a team orientation. Experience using systems for embedded code control, storage and reuse such as Source Safe. Excellent communication skills required.



ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

The Engineering Technician is responsible for prototype fabrication (using Surface Mount and Through-Hole technologies), test, debug and configuration management, engineering work area organization, engineering documentation and supporting Hardware & Firmware engineering efforts. Participate in the transfer of new product technology to operations departments. Assist multidisciplinary engineering personnel with product design tasks and document findings. Must be experienced with analog and digital electronics and be able to troubleshoot circuits, document engineering findings, use EDA and PLM programs and write ECOs and MCOs. Knowledge of firmware and RF are a plus. Associates of Science in Electronics Engineering or Advanced Electronics training in military with 6-8 years experience with microprocessor based hardware development. Prefer 8-10 years experience supporting hardware/firmware development for audio systems. Must be proficient with TI, Freescale, and Microchip emulators, Tektronix scopes, Agilent logic analyzers and signal generators, etc. Demonstrated knowledge of prototype construction methods with Surface Mount and Through-Hole technologies. Exceptional interpersonal, communication and organizational skills with excellent mechanical aptitude. Intermediate level skills with EDA tools such as ORCAD, Allegro, etc.



HARDWARE ENGINEER

The Hardware Engineer is responsible for the specification, desgin, test, & documentation of Embedded Systems hardware used in CoachComm's products. Must have extensive expertise with Embedded Systems hardware development practices, hardware descriptive languages and EDA tools. Ability to analyze system requirements, lead hardware development efforts, collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering personnel, mentor junior hardware engineers & support/improve the hardware development infrastructure. BSEE with 6-8+ years experience with microprocessor based hardware development, ability to estimate task size, analog & digital: FPGA & CPLD design, proficiency with EDA tools, emulators, scopes, logic analyzers, etc. Skills with Verilog or VHDL & EDA tools such as ORCAD, Allegro, etc. a plus. Experience with TI, Freescale & Microchip development environments and tools is a plus.
