Does the last line of scottish3's post imply that that the league's officers, or to be more specific is it directed at John Finch, favour some clubs above others? If that is the implication may I suggest that it is very disingenerous.

not at all hatchetman all im saying is Mr Barretto had enough chances at Watton Int and wasnt too good he tries to shaft an established club and as usual you are missing thne point

There are both plus points and negative points to the 2 divisions, just like most things in life. A decision was made by the BADSFL to propose 2 divisions and i'm sure they weighed up all the pros and cons and came to a decision which they believe will benefit the whole league and offer more teams a chance of winning a trophy or at least challenging. To think only of your own club is a bit selfish and narrow minded. I my self am happy to let the powers that be tell me which format Danepak f.c. will be playing, and we will turn up and play just like we have for the past 9 seasons,in many different formats and competitions. I voted for 2 divisions simply to give the new teams in either their first or second seasons a bit more to play for, and as Danepak fc fear no team we are not fussed that we are in a division with the stronger teams.
A decision was made, a vote has been cast. NO MORE TALK . LETS PLAY !!!!

Neil too be honest it's not an issue of playing against stronger teams. I and the rest of our side see this as a challenge rather than being worried about it. That's not why we voted for 1 divison. We've just got concerns, which i've happily raised. I've still not heard what would happen should a team fold. No-one has come out with an answer to that. And is anyone seriously looking forward to playing each other 5 times!!!
And to say its selfish to think of our own club is a little unfair. If we don't who will!!! It's not we don't care, it's that we do. Also we asked our players what they wanted, they said 1 divison, something you should maybe try!!
Like i said i respect the other members to their vote, and can't complain about the outcome. We will continue to enjoy our football, as i hope everyone does. That IS what it's all about. But it is fun to talk!!

Adski, you voiced genuine concerns at the AGM ( Backed up by a previous experience ) And if your fears come to light then we would have a problem. But I dont think you can base a whole league structure on what ifs. What has been decided IS a gamble, and only at the end of the season will we know if it payed off. 2 divisions will NEVER be agreed apon by everyone, because as I have said before it has many plus points as well as many negatives which will affect each club differently. As I said in an earlier post I am happy to be told by the league officers who we are playing,where,what competition and which format , and then turn up and get on with it.I dont think it should have been voted on, we should let tne management committe manage and make the decisions,then tell us clubs what we are doing.
I recall a similar response when the league went to one division ,some teams left the league because " there was nothing to play for " another newly formed team did not join the BADSFL for the same reason. Others were happy because they were now playing teams they had not faced in a while. And others did not like it as they were now playing the stronger teams.
Everyone has an oppinion ,but no one is right or wrong

Should be fun two leagues religation and promotion and also league champions what a season it should be cant wait to see the results each week let the battle commence

yes darkside will be great and i too cant wait to lace up my boots again and start the season it will be a huge challenge for all teams involved but very enjoyable im sure

Looking forward to the new season, I think what the league have done seems workable. I prefer one division, but can understand the choice to go with 2.
On another front, I wouldnt mind a game on a Sunday morning if anybody is looking for any players, most of you all know me, I can always help out with the odd training session and things when I've got the time. PM me if interested!
