Getting Tough
Just read latest news and discipline. The league, quite rightly in my opinion, have decided that if clubs only want to pay minimal attention to the rules, can't be bothered to read them or only decide to when they are in the frame for a fine, they must accept the financial penalty and resulting action.

Re: Getting Tough
The action taken in respect of a club's non-payment of fees due by a stipulated date mirrors the action that would be taken by TheFA and County FA's. I would add, if a club is prevented from playing scheduled league fixtures due to suspension they would be subject to additional fines, forfeit the games and any points alloted. Unable to play a cup game on the scheduled date would mean elimination from the competition.
I unreaservably agree with the action taken by your league. I have read elsewhere that the club in question expects to have a very good season ..... my advice is don't put it at risk due to lax administration.
PS. I know that your league committee, as all league committees, devote a lot of their free time just so that you have the opportunity to play football ..... make their task easier by conforming to the rules.

Re: Getting Tough
I agree we had all this last year and the league commitee have put in place rules that are to be adhered too at all times. When you look at the rules they might look long winded but they are quite simple to follow also i believe that if any club is having trouble on the administration side then i would expect them to contact a member of the leaque commitee straight away as they no doubt will help the clubs out as they have done in the past.

Re: Getting Tough
I understand that following the first week of this season's games many clubs administration was descibed as 'shambolic'. JF has also informed club secretaries who have queries to contact him by email (see news). I agree that there is no excuse for any club secretary not to get things right. After all they just have one club to look after ...... one committee member, I believe, has 12 clubs paperwork to check each week.

Re: Getting Tough
Railway Tavern may well have ambitions of success (see local paper) but having looked at 'Discipline' at the rate they are going they will have purchased the winners trophies.

Re: Getting Tough
I couldnt agree with you more pigeon 79 last seasons game with feltwell was a joke one minute it was on the next it was cancelled but hey perhaps the little issue of not paying on time may have put a nail in there coffin so lets wait and see.

Re: Getting Tough
You are correct darkside 10. But don't forget the Railway/Feltwell fiasco occurred, I believe I'm correct, when JF was on 'gardening leave'. With him back in full harness and adopting a tough policy we may find that other clubs could face suspension for breaches of rules. However, before castergating him, not let us forget he has made a generous offer by informing clubs (see news) that if they have problems, queries or need clarification of any rule, they should contact him.
