Welcome to the board!
Welcome to the Bridge to Middle Earth. This is a discussion board for everything concerning the world created by J. R. R. Tolkien. The main intention of this board is to discuss the Silmarillion, The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings in all their form of appearance. This includes movies, books and comics as well as tapes, pc and online games. As for other topics outside Tolkien I would ask you to keep it to a minimum. There are enough message boards for general chit chat anyway 
Feel free to discuss other Tolkien Books such as Farmer Giles of Ham or similar things in here as well. Keep these general Tolkien discussions here in the general area, as the larges part of The Bridge to Middle Earth is role playing.
I will include an ooc forum for out of character discussions and one for character bios in every age, so you can discuss everything concerning your storylines and character questions there.
As for rules, stick to the usual Nettiquette - that is be courteous and respectful to each other, no matter of racial origin or religion. If you feel insulted by anyone, please let me know immediately.
The Bridge fo Middle Earth is for your entertainment and fun, and it might be of interest to share your stories, ideas and opinions with others. Be aware that this is an open message board that grants you membership when you register with runboard and place your first post here. If I feel that this freedom is being abused, I will restrict the access to the board. Keep in mind that The Bridge to Middle is being read by young people and other vulnerable folk , so ithere is a danger of offending both readers and your fellow posters.
Concerning Links and player orgainizations - you are welcome to post the URL of your site as well as a short description of it in the links section. Best include a contact email if people are interested in joining your sites. Else, please understand that I don''t want open recruiting here - it distracts somewhat from the main purpose of the board. Links in signatures are permitted as wellll. Signatures and avaters can be added in your account profile on http://runboard.com as long as it is not illegal, offending, pornographic or discriminating.These guidelines are applicable to all your posts, too.
