its not clear what system u are using. or is this part of an online game community?

Hi there, fatbob and welcome to the board 
To answer your question - no this is no part of an online rolelaying game. It is textbased and usually the people interested in playing start a story which opens up entrance possibilities for other characters to come in. That's how I started up my other board - Under the Red Sun.
Interested players could discuss the topic of a story (usually called "play") - with the heading of the future story for example.
Some people like to discuss widely which way the story should/ could take - others just jump in with what the situatiion requires and react simply to the action of the previous character (which I find hard).
Is this the kind of role playing you meant? Mind you, I do play online ..
