Valar Guild
Valarg Guild - This is the homepage of the Valar Guild, the internartional Tolkien Fanclub I belong to. The Valar Guild was founded in October 1997 and have created an incredible community of more than 100 Tolkien fans from all over the world - from the US where they are based across to Europe. They hold weekly guildmeetings which take place via aim chat every sunday from 10.00pm gmt onwards, usually for two hours for the official part. This involve various guild news, membership news, web news, gaming news and of course the all important Tolkien discussion, that is a discussion about a Tolikienean topic, be it taken from the Lord of the Rings, the Silmarillion or the Lost Tales. Apart from this the Valar Guild has created a volumnous encyclopedia, containing articles written by their members about various interesting middlearth related topics. You can gain membership by a simple test by a member with at least maia honour that conisits of five questions concerning the Lord of the Rings, the book. So, if you want to join, you should have read the book and be fairly confident about the content. It is possible to retake the membership test at any time and/or join as Tolkien only member, i. e. as author on the Tolkien pages such as the encyclopedia, stories, poems. Many Valar Guild members also have an interest in various online games about which you can find information on the above mentioned homepage. You can also email me or contact me via aim under the name FinduilasV or of course on World of Warcraft Europe, server Argent Dawn. My characters there are Failivrin, Finduiilasse, Finduilass, Laswen and Finduilaswen. Servers I frequent less often are Moonglade - Silaria, Steelweedle Cartel - Aiyata, Die Nachtwache - Lisarda, Aleria - Beruthiel. Feel free to whisper any of this characters at any time.
