Re: Noob!
Hi all,
Hope you don’t mind me butting in on this thread, I have a really nobbish question.
I have only recently found out about Broadsword Comics and I am hooked on them now, I recently purchased the spell cards (Mainly out of curiosity) now I am intrigued.
I am from Australia and don’t know much about Wicca or its history, so I was wondering if you could give me a hand? I had a question in particular about “The Thank you Spell” it motioned carving the symbol of the Farther, Mother and Protector Gods into the respective candles, but I cannot find much on the actual symbols.
Does anyone know were I should look for information or books on this?
Oh and the cards are great hope to see set 2 on the online shop soon.

Re: Noob!
you can always use the male symbol
the ankh for female and a pentacule for protection-unless you have a patron god-goddess and know their symbol

Re: Noob!
Ah I see, I had found the symbol for the horned god and thought that this may be the father god.
Thanks for the welcome, you guys will probably get sick of my questions after awhile.
I am planning on moving to Melbourne and look for a job in June, so I was thinking of doing the "Don't stand in my way" and "The Oak Penny Spell" to help me out.
I'll let you know how it goes.

Re: Noob!
I use a spiral for the goddess, and usually the male symbol for the god....of course, there is a literal wealth of symbols that you can use for either, including specific symbols for specific gods and goddesses (say, for instance, an apple for Frigga). It's more about what feels right and natural for you. I wonder if there's a good book reference out there with the various symbols collected in one place. Hrm...

Re: Noob!
I know for a fact there are a ton of books ..but really I would just go with what you feel is right.. your better off and it makes it more personal to you.. opinions are good and all but I have found with this belief its best to just do what your going to do and go with what you feel..
