Now i am having to regrow it after the damage from before being used by my freind as a model for her various shows she attended (this included various highlighting hair cuts that kept getting shorter) these last few years. The last time i let her cut it, she ended up cutting it so short and uneven i wanted to maim her and refuse to let her to even touch it. Luckily, my hair grows VERY fast.
I am currently looking for a new stylist/colorist in my area. So far, zippo... Any suggestions on what to ask a prospective colorist?

Re: I'm Dye Hard of the Month on Manic Panic! Yes, Clairol products suck. I dyed my hair red two weeks ago. I've been conditoning and everything. Now about half of it is red, and the rest has reverted back to brown. But when I went blue, I used Manic Panic, and it faded beautifully.

Re: I'm Dye Hard of the Month on Manic Panic! I am waiting to schedule my appt. My husband is wanting me to go blonde first or full highlights before i go red. To freak him out i went ahead and got some of the manic panic temporary hair gel that is neon blue just for the fun of it.
I am sorry to hear you had that problem Artemis. I had a freind who used that brand for a long time and it "fried" her hair after so long on the use.

Re: I'm Dye Hard of the Month on Manic Panic! Heh! He was VERY surprised as i hadn't warned him at all! He has decided he is going to use it for Halloween at work. Considering he is working at a very conservative place, i would be surprised if he goes through with it. He also said he would "let" me dye my hair that color as it suited me. :P We were considering using the pink neon temp gel for my daughter on Halloween (she has decided to go as Stephanie from Lazytown) but i think it might be too heavy looking for her hair so i am looking for a light looking neon-pink temp. spray.
