Re: What is your zombie plan?
I would wait until President Obama addressed the problem in a speech. He would promise Undead Americans free health care in exchange for not eating people!

Re: What is your zombie plan?
Zombie plan?! Whahahahaha!Me and my little brother have more then a few of these. But were Clinically paranoid, so that might be why.
Regardless, I Have since my release... Did I say release? Err... Discharge from the Army, I've been collecting my old sniper gear. M-82 rounds are fragging expensive just so you know.

Re: What is your zombie plan?
A .22 is the best way to go as it enters the skulls but 90% of the time doesn't leave so it just bounces around and then you can be certain its dead... also I'm back.

Re: What is your zombie plan?
I've had .22 bounce of my jacket. Depending on range, and if it's rifle or pistol rounds. .22 round generally lack the penetration to pierce bone. One of the reasons the 5.56mm round took so long to catch on. Most of the time the rounds follow bone, rather then piercing it.
7.62 is a better choice, both in range and penetration, as well as plentifully available. But nothing beats the knowledge that If you put a .50 round anywhere near your target, you've killed whatever you were aiming at.
Hence my M-82.

Re: What is your zombie plan?
Key points to any zombie plan, is
A) Don't leave your Zombie Fort. Watch a Zombie flick, every time they have to leave, half the survivors die. ( This applies equally to nearly any horror type flick.)
B) Have plenty of food, drinking water, and especially Ammo.
C) have HTH weapons as reserve, fire axes, and, machete's, and sledge hammers are all good choices. Plus they make wonderful tools as a added bonus. Forget Katana's and other novelty items. Most swords you buy in a pawn shop/ mail order will shatter the moment you hit bone. No don't ask how I know. If you've got the money, there's that replica shop that makes usable swords, axes, and other old style weapons.
D) When choosing a Zombie fort, a Mall is not a good choice.
E) If someone is bitten, don't waste time waiting for them to change. Pop'em in the head and loot the body, saves everyone time and effort. ( Ya I'm that cold.)
F) On that note, do daily strip searches of all survivors in your Zombie Fort, again watch a zombie flick, someone always gets bitten, and hides it. Then they turn and kill the other half of the survivors, who didn't die when they ignored point A!
