Favorite characters?
So, who's everyone's favorite character and why?
For me, it's Mother. For a couple of reasons. One, she's reaised both Tarot and Raven. She's an extremely strong woman, both magickally and, psychologically, for lack of a better term. She always seems to be the voice of reason (befitting her years and wisdom). She;s beautiful too. She's older, and a more heavy set, yet Jim still draws her as an incredibly powerful, graceful, and beautiful woman. I loved when she led the fight against Azure, and have been desperately waiting for a spotlight issue on her (I'm beginning to think that this will never happen). Finally, because she's so horribly underused, she's remained mysterious. To an extent, I can fill in details about her myself, which is fun. Still, having said that, I'm still desperately waiting for an issue dedicated to her.
So, anyone else? I'd love to read whateveryone else thinks. And of course, I'd like this to be a discussion, so let's comment on each other's posts.

Re: Favorite characters?
Right off the top I'd say Raven. If her goblins had a bit more individual character to them, I'd be voting for them. When I think of Goblins I think of Brian Froud's work or even the Darklings from The Darkness comic series.

Re: Favorite characters?
Raven Hex is my favorite. She has so many sides to her personality that you never quite know what your going to get with a story focusing on her. She has her goofy, vunerable side. Her doubting side. And she also can be very kick butt and dangerous.
After that would be Jon as he keeps a nice sense of humor dealing with everything and gets in some VERY interesting situations so I love reading stories with him.
Those are the two I relate to best as well which is why they are my favorites.

Re: Favorite characters?
It's so hard for me to pick a favorite in this series (which is unusual for me) as they all have strong points and weaknesses.
I like Boo Cat a tremendous amount- I think because she serves as a good reminder to seize the joy in life. She is never terribly serious or morose, and her selfishness doesn't usually end up harming anyone. It's a good counterbalance to some of the more severe characters.
Jon, absolutely is among my top favs. He is so courageous and kind and respectful, and I love that he's ok with being embarassed. He also has some great quips, and a fasntastic sense of loyalty.
Everyone I know who likes this series loves Raven Hex. That's a harder call for me. There are times when I admire Raven's passion and strength, and times where I just want to smack her. I suspect, though, that that is deliberate. After all, the characters are very fleshed out, with their own unique flaws.
And yeah, their mom is just amazing, and so self-sure. I really want to age like that, with that absolute crone sense of power and wisdom and peace.

Re: Favorite characters?
@Holly
Mudwart's a dude and I love the Goblin girl he ends up with.
Now if I could find some of the Goblin Girls in my size,
I'd put the Skeleton Man's track record with the Faeries to shame.

Re: Favorite characters?
I am a BIG BIG fan of raven hex and the reason for that is I feel I can understand the head space that character is based on. I love how she reacts to all the things presented to her. How beautiful she is clearly is part of it..but mostly its the personality of that character.. I mean all the characters are great but that one in particular really hits me as a well developed character I hope to read more about as time goes on.. to say I am in love would be a understatement for a fictional character...but it is what it is..
