Only Will would be driving a vintage JCB with no torque converter.And no f*cking brakes!!.
Reminds me of his bike,but he never fell off that.!

Was speaking to Will yesterday morning (Saturday) he was a bit woozy (nothing new there then) with the morphine. He had an opration on Friday, where basically they joined some of his vertebrae together with metal bits and a few clips...just like his bikes. He says he is doing ok, but I think he is a bit p i ss ed off having been on his back for two weeks (Helena wishes under different circumstances)and as we know, Will is NOT the type to lay around doing nowt!

After a fortnight on flat on the back waiting Will had successfull surgery joining 3 vertebrae with metal. The recovery has been hard so far and he has been in a lot of pain. Today however he was walking the first few steps with his new brace. There is a hope of homecoming on Thursday. Keep fingers crossed.
As my first pig also went to slaughter today we are planning a barbie for Wills return home, combined with the big birthday coming up but sooner as December is too cold for camping. We shall let you know. Hxx

Great to see you posting on the forum!
It was great to talk to you last night and we are all delighted to hear that the news on Will is positive.
I hope the pain he is in at present disappears soon, but at least he is starting to get onto his feet.
Please keep posting for us to get updates, and give Will a big gentle hug from us!

Am struggling to restrain Will from doing too much. We take one step at the time and will start planning a BBQ as soon as Will can sit and stand for longer periods. Thanks all for the nice messages and support.

Hope you are getting better and feeling less pain. No doubt your home nursey will be looking after you very well, eh Helena?
You were both sorely missed at the Wallace and I shall look forward to seeing you soon. Lots of folk asked where you were and were shocked to hear of your accident, they all sent loads of love and good wishes. Please don't ask me their names as it was rather a hectic weekend!
