Speed (1994) - Jack Traven (Police Officer)
A terrorist has strapped a bomb to a bus - if its speed drops below 50mph, it will blow up. Reeves is the on-board LA cop who has to work out how to solve this conundrum, which he does with the help of a spunky but unsurprisingly beautiful passenger (Sandra Bullock). The film was a commercial and even critical success, cementing the newly muscled Reeves's reputation as an action man.
