GREAT BALLY TALKERS For those accustomed to Lee's lighthearted articles, this will be a departure from the expected, as He intends to treat the subject matter with the objective and serious care it truly deserves. "The bally is sophisticated advertising. It is a theatrical play intended to sell tickets to another theatrical play. It is, in essence, a free sample, a short skirt, one potato chip,your first dose of heroin, the upside down answer to the riddle you can't answer. It is, ideally, the ultimate.........................

Alas, I am not Scott. Scott's on the road. I'm sure Scott will like the article too. He's great with the Bally.
The next time I talk to him, I'll mention your suggestion to him next time I talk to him. I'm not sure when that will be, considering his cell phone is dead, but it'll be sometime. I just confirmed that he was alive and not in jail today through a third party. I'm babysitting the boards while he's away. (Bail at the ready)

Hey, on this board, being mistaken for Scott is a compliment. Although if someone mixed me up on the street, I'd consider working for him as a bearded lady.

I also enjoy a good bally, I have been very lucky to of had a few of the great bally talker/showman share some of their ballys.
There's nothing like walking down the Midway and hearing live bally.
I was at a circus the other day, they had a reptile show with taped bally. Nice show front, not much on the inside and a very weak bally. Only a buck, but was it worth it. Well a live talker even if the show is weak, is well worth it.
Thanks again for wanting to share your stories. I look forward to visiting with you about what you have to share. I know our reads will really enjoy reading about you and your families history.
Remember "The Good Old Days" and know that everyday is a "Good Old Day"
