posticon First things first...

The first thing you have to do if you are AT ALL interested in sideshow is start to learn about its history. Where did it come from? Who was an influence in the industry etc. The Sideshow has a colorful past...and the best way to get the 'BUG' is read as much as you can on the subject.
You can get many books thru Chapters and also some gems in old Used Book Stores.
Check out- 'Seeing is Believing' by Al Stencell, 'Freaks, Geeks and Strange Girls' and 'Memoirs of a Sword Swallower' by Daniel.P.Mannix ...this is just a beginning, look into the history on the internet and ask questions on this site. But I gotta tell ya, NO SECRETS will be revealed. Everything comes with time. This is not the easiest road to take.
Being a Human Marvel is not as easy as we make it out to be on stage.

By no means do I believe it's an easy road. I do appreciate the direction you are giving me. I will begin to read and learn. I realize that nothing is ever given away...in any walk of life. But what I do know is that I am willing to work hard to succeed. I understand that you've been in the business for a long time. I was amazed when I found out that Carnival Diablo has been around for 12 years! I really appreciate that you put this forum together and that I will be able to get direction from it when needed. I do feel that I can do this. I learned that background and history of tattooing and am well on my way to being the best. And in a sense, I think that the two can tie in well together...nobody gives any secrets away in the tattoo indusrty either. Hell, I'm going to chapters tomorrow. Thanks for the help!

Sideshow is a great and fullfilling World...but a hard one also...I hope that you enjoy your journey. Because sometimes its not the destination...but the journey that counts.

So are there any plans of bringing your show to the states? I actually came across your show on the web when I was first doing research to put together my show a couple years ago and have been wanting to see it every since!

posticon The States...

Whew!
YES!!! I am working on bringing the show over...I have a FULL Season here in Canada this year...but I want to work on getting the whole show put into roadcases. We have roadcases for half of the show...but I want roadcases for the Electric Chair and Bed of Nails etc. Then if I really wanted too..I could send everything by plane. This will also be helpful when I take the show to Europe in the next couple of years.
I can't wait to do AMERICA, I think that we would Rock the Kazbah! lol
Whenever you wanna talk...just drop me a line here. I will keep you and everyone else that is interested in the loop.
I look forward to meeting you...Crispy!

Oooooooh, I allmost forgot!
I actually won't need any extra roadcases for the tour in the STATES...I just purchased a large Cube Moving VAN for the show. We can drive with our Mobile Billboard. I am having the cube van painted crimson red with a copper grill and large Sideshow type banners applied to the walls of the cube van box. It'll be a nightmare on wheels!
I would tour with the cube van and our Diablo RV.
Road trips are the best!
