posticon Pick your Poison!

Heya everyone! I was just wondering what the favorate horror movie would be of all you boys and ghouls out there? It doesn't have to be strictly horror...maybe more horror/monster/thriller/slasher/sci-fi/fantasy movie. Anything along those lines. I'm a big fan of horror/monster movies, so I was just wondering what everyone else liked in those genres?

Let me know if you have any must-sees in mind.

I think my favorite horror was the original old black and white, "House on Haunted Hill". Really the effects were kinda cheesy, but who cares, it still scared the hell out of me. A newer horror i really liked and also made me **** my pants was, "Spit On Your Grave" oh man! talk about a scary movie.

Re: Pick your Poison!

Some interesting picks folks. I guess I would have to say that I like b-horror a lot more then I like the traditional stuff. My top tenwould have to be:

1. Evil Dead trilogy (ok it's 3 movies, but you can't have one without the ohter)

2. American Werewolf in London (& Paris)

3. Underworld

4. Jeepers Creepers (I think I may be the only person that liked this one...the ending was great....don't want to spoil it for those who haven't seen it)

5.Return of the Living Dead (actually, all of 'em I liked)

6. Interview with the Vampire (ok, it's not really horror, but I love the realism and humanity it brings to the living dead)

7. The Nightmare Before Christmas (despite the fact that it's not scary, this movie has some really twisted artistic direction in it...and that I love.)

8. The Exorcist (I actually only saw this for the first time the other day....it is quite scary)

9. Carrie

10. The Stand (8 hours of movie madness...great underlying tales in that movie.)

Well, that's my top 10, but not neccessarily, that's more the top 10 off the top of my head right now.
