becoming as artist
I have a very simple question about becoming a tattoo artist. Do you have to be able to draw to be able to tattoos.

Re: becoming as artist
Have to? No...but it certainly helps. If you can't draw, you will be limited in what you can do for people. There are many "tattooers" who only do flash work and can't draw a lick.

Re: becoming as artist
To be a tattooist.
It is /was a very long road.19 years in this business and still going strong.
Drawing is only one of the tools that you use in this occupation.
The best way to understand what goes on in a day to day life of a tattooist is to actually hang out at a tattoo shop and watch the skills they need.
There is a lot more involved then being able to draw a pretty picture on skin.So research in the area ( tattoo store) is really the best way of understanding what is involved.
Best of luck
