thats really cool, I know it was all God's work but I wonder how He may have used POD's testimony (they did your together right ?). what a perfect example of how believers are called to take the message to the world and not to keep it in our holy huddles.

I just hope that getting off the drugs didn't put him in one of those temporary goofy states where you do dramatic things that you later kind of regret when you come down off the thrill of sobriety.

I don't want to come across as if I'm doubting his salvation whatsoever, because a) I have no business judging another man's soul and b)if someone claims to be a follower of Christ my job is to encourage and build them up, not question the validity of their decision. that being said, I wonder what God does with the man who sincerly makes a commitment to Him and repents while in a "different state of consciousness" whether it be drug induced or whatever. i've always wondered what happend in the parable of the seeds with the seed that fell on shallow ground. or for example a young child who sincerly commits their life to Christ and decides in their teens it was stupid and they didn't mean it. I don't believe that one can lose their salvation, else Christ's blood would only be as powerful as our will. maybe it's not for us to know, but I'd sure like to.

A good friend of mine works with him and it actually legit. Just like when stephan baldwin became a christian people doubted, but my friend works with both of them brian and stephan and he says that after being around them it is definatly genuine

well i know as far as baldwin goes he is very very active in his faith and it is a big deal to him. As far as welch I just know he has things in the works for which he is trying to further the kingdom. As far as what I can't say its not my place nor my client.

It always amazes me when we are surprised that someone with a "past" becomes a Christian......why is that?? In my own life after 19+yrs following Christ there are stll "Christians" (and I do use that word loosely here)that knew me before that still shun me because of who I was and what I was doing. And if being high at the time of salvation devalues it at all I'm in trouble as I was stoned at the time....and to be honest stayed that way for awhile!

i've been judged for dying my hair blonde...wearing bangles...leaving long hair... so nothing else is new to me about judging.... i really believe... the only thing that matter is Christ... getting to know more bout him and His love for us...His-story...and during the process of finding more bout him.. trying not to stumble others

Just saw a little featurette on MSNBC on Welch. He was sitting there playing this really boring sounding acoustic guitar; I hope he doesn't turn all hippy-dippy on us. The segment mentioned that he was working on some kind of new music project - it'll be interesting to hear that when it emerges.
