Wild at Heart by John Eldredge
i know this is a pretty popular book right now, but i can honestly say it reached me in a way that many books aren't able to. it's very easy to read and i think speaks directly to the heart of a man. it encourages you to question and reevaluate yourself and your life in God. and while it sounds like abook just for men, i would also say that every woman should read it as well. for the same reason that it shows us how to become more of a man after God's own wild heart, it shows women what to look for if they want a man that pursues God's heart with the same wildness.

Re: Wild at Heart by John Eldredge
First post here...
I had to jump in and put in another plug for this book. My wife gave it to me about 3 or 4 years ago. I've read it at least once a year since then. It was absolutely a life-changer for me. I am glad to see it's popularity on the rise, because there are so many of us that need this kind of encouragement.

Re: Wild at Heart by John Eldredge
I've only made it about 30pgs so far because I have to stop every few paragraphs and let it sink in. I feel that everyone can benefit from the book, but especially those who have divorced parents.
--Added:
Finished the book awhile ago... reread some of it the other day. Absolutely amazing book!

Re: Wild at Heart by John Eldredge
I absolutely love Wild at Heart. It show's every man that he needs to listen to his instincts more and to stop being boring and feminine.
Girls have a version of this book they can read:
Captivating: Unveiling the Mystery of a Woman's Soul by John and Staci Eldredge.
I work at a summer camp. (My tattoos, funny enough, break the ice with the kids and also their parents quite quickly) At this camp, we studied this book quite extensivley. The girls read captivating. It was very uplifting and helped encourage all of us to redefine how we live our lives. I recommend these books to everyone.

Another great book along the same lines is Healing the masculine soul by Gordon Dalbey. Its part of what inspired John Elderdge to write his book.
