Tattoos as service

Galatians 5:13-15
13You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature[a]; rather, serve one another in love. 14The entire law is summed up in a single command: "Love your neighbor as yourself." 15If you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.

Jesus has been leading me to a place of submission to what he wants rather than what I want. I was reading this all to familiar verse within the tattoo community and God revealed something to me. Yes you have the complete freedom to get tattoos for any reason, but I would encourage each of you to consider your tattoos first and foremost as an act of service to those around you. search your heart as to the subject matter of your tattoos. would that subject remind brothers and sisters of the Grace that has saved them, or would it distract them from the Glory of God? Would the only thought brought by your ink be the almighty I AM, or would it just look cool?
We have freedom, so live in freedom, just not in selfish ambition. Just remember that we are not our own.

Be blessed brothers and sisters, this is not meant to be accusing of anyone, above all, next to the Glory of Christ, I want to see unity among believers whether they are inked or not. Be peacemakers.
