questions from the cta....please respond:
QUESTIONS FROM THE CTA...PLEASE RESPOND:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We want to hear you answers.....
We are finishing up the new site....about 80% done. There is A LOT of information to transfer over and resposting some of the stuff is proving very difficult.....but not impossible. We are also really putting it out there....like never before. I sooooo wish I could just put it up right now, I am sooo excited for all of you to see it!
We have some questions we would like to hear your answers on.....as tattooed people and Christians!! Please take the time to reply.....
In Grace,
Jayme W.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We here at the Christian Tattoo Association totally believe in supporting our brothers and sisters that are collectors and tattoo artists. Yet we are also feel strongly called to spread the message of Christ and believe it is our first calling.
We also believe that we are called as tattoo artists to share the beautiful art of tattooing. To help guide people to better and better tattoos in more professional environments. We are artists who travel around the country and feel we have a pretty strong grip on the tattoo community at large and would like to share this with you, as Christians.
We are designing the new site with all of these things in mind. Sharing the possibilites and artists that are pushing the boundaries of tattooing and just doing amazing work. Also showcasing artist who year in, year out are doing good qulaity tattooing and providing their clients with good work.
Yet off of the emails we get everyday we feel even more called to spread this word more clearly and effectively for our brothers and sisters.
As tattoo artists and collectors we want to hear your thoughts, your opinions of some things you like about the old site and some things you would like to see on the new site...let us hear from you!!
Which do you feel is more relevant to our lives as Christians?
Getting tattooed by a Christian and enjoying your faith?
or
Getting tattooed by a Non-Christian and sharing your faith?
Or is the quality of work important to you? We dont mean just ok but are you interested in getting some of the best work out there? Knowing where to look? Does it matter that you get the best tattoo you can get? Would you like to know the possibilies?
TATTOO ARTISTS:
Would you like to see a forum on here where machine builders, craftsman and other nationally known artists talk about tattooing, the art, the craft and tips on how they do what they do? Would you like to know more about the artists out there pushing the limits of the art?
These are just some of the many questions we are addressing on the new site. We want to give you the full experience of the tattoo community and a life of Faith in Jesus. We want to support your Christian needs, your human needs as well as your tattoo needs?
What do you think about that?
Thanks for sharing a head of time and we are sooooo looking forward to getting all fo this off the ground!!
We love you and God bless!!
In Grace,
Jayme W.

Re: questions from the cta....please respond:
First off, Im excited to hear that the sites almost done, but onto the questions
As a Christian who's tattooed, I beleive that it doesnt really matter whether the artist is a beleiver or not. my artist is by no means a Christian, but he respects my beleifs. Most of us here dont just support christian music, and we dont only shop at "christian run" stores. now would I go to a shop that openly insults Christ, no way, but I have already seen getting tattooed by a non beleiver is a great way to share the love of Christ. You're sitting there for hours talking to them which opens up so many doors to share who Christ really is as oppossed to who the church has made him up to be the past 2000 years.
as for the art itself. I think that we should get the best possible art we can. This body is a gift from God, I dont want just anything on it. Do all things to God's glory and I beleive that taking the time to make sure you're getting the best possible tattoo you can glorifies God just about as much as the content.
much love boys and girls

Re: questions from the cta....please respond:
Hey Jayme,
Thanks for the oppurtunity for our imput. I share in your excitment about the new site as well.
Personally what I liked about the old site was that I could go on as often as possible and see the "New Ink" section and keep up on all the new tats without having to search the whole site. I also liked that we were able to write a brief description about our work.
What I would like to see more of is how the CTA is being used by the LORD, and how I might be of service. Maybe a booth at my local convention (that I would be glad to man for the weekend). Maybe a news letter to those of us that are members. I think I would even be more apt to give financilly if I saw some fruit of your labor.
As far as your question about getting tattooed... The way I look at it is, the Bible tells me that, "faith without works is dead"(James 2:17,22) Personally it dosen't matter to me who's doing the work, Christian or Non-Christian. Either way the tat speaks for itself and opens the oppurtunity for conversation and sharing my faith. Either for encourgment to the believer or a witness for the non-believer. Besides, I've really gone out of my way to find Christian artists in my area and have had no sucsess(Phil.area).
Thanks again to all of you who are working so hard within the CTA ministry. You truly are a blessing to many.
Your Bro,
Lowell

Re: questions from the cta....please respond:
Dear Brothers and Sisters...
Thanks so much for you input...
I want so badly to tell you so many things but it would ruin the suprise and I also believe (as does the board) that everyone see all of our new stuff as a pachage deal.
I am so blessed to be a part of this ministry and to be able to lead as a servant. I am also very encouraged by your input and kind words.
I have not seen a comment yet we have not addressed on the new site...so I am feeling we are just about there.
Thanks again and God bless all of you!!
In Grace,
Jayme

Re: questions from the cta....please respond:
AS A CHRISTIAN, AND TATTOO STUDIO OWNER I HAVE 7 ARTIST, SOME WHICH ARE CHRISTIAN AND A COUPLE WHO ARE NOT. I MAKE SURE ALL MY ADVERTISMENT AND ACTIONS REFLECT MY STAND WITH CHRIST,YET THE MAJORITY OF OUR CUSTOMERS KNOW OUR BELIEVE AND FAITH AND COME TO US BECAUSE BECAUSE OF THIS.
THE FACT WE HAVE GREAT ARTIST,GREAT STUDIO ENVIORMENT, AND GREAT RESPECT FOR OUR CUSTOMERS OPENS THE DOOR FOR THAT ONE CUSTOMER TO ASK US HOW AND WHY ARE WE ALWAYS SO HAPPY AND POSITIVE?
THE ANSWER IS CHRIST, AND THE DOOR IS NOW OPENED FOR THE USUAL Q&A'S THAT FOLLOW ABOUT
TATTOOING AND THE BIBLE, AND GODS OVERALL VEIW ABOUT THIS ART.
THE CTA IS THE NUMBER ONE RESOURCE TO REFER OUR CUSTOMERS TO VISIT. THIS IS A TREMENDOUS TOOL FOR OUR STUDIO, AND THE CTA IS A HUGE
RESOURCE FOR MANY NON BELIEVERS THAT HAVE ONLY ONE THING IN COMMON,BODY ART.
GOD BLESS THE ENTIRE CTA STAFF, MAY YOU BE GIVEN WISDOM AND WE WILL STAND BEHIND ALL YOUR DISSISIONS.

Re: questions from the cta....please respond:
I believe the CTA will grow and become an important part of the tattoo community and industry.
"Which do you feel is more relevant to our lives as Christians?
Getting tattooed by a Christian and enjoying your faith?
or
Getting tattooed by a Non-Christian and sharing your faith?"
1. I would say that we all need help from those who are close to God, and that there are others whom need help from us(a person with Christ) as well. I believe it works both ways. I know that I need help from my Christian brothers, and sisters who are strong in faith and close with Christ.
2. I also believe that it is a great thing to help someone who has no interest in God and wants nothing to do with him and Jesus.
I can also help show that your life does not end when you accept Jesus, and want to live for God.It begins and sometimes it is the freedom that we fear. I know that for myself the chains that weigh me down, and that I do not want, are the things I hold onto.... for who would I be if they are not there.(an example would be a ,Change of heart, and loving your enemy. Just some insight on things of life) Sometimes helping someone, is just letting them know you can relate and that they too are not alone with the things in life that cause pain (other that tattoos).
As an Artist:
1. I am always wanting to learn more, and having a forum for those in the field would be great! There should much respect given to the forefathers of tattooing, and educating those in the tattoo world about proper ways to do tats is one way. ( not that I am all that ya know ,,,lol )
2. I think it is helpful to educate others looking to get tattoo work. Help understand what good work is and most important what sterilization means with tattooing.
Just a couple of thoughts. Looking forward for what the Lord has in store for us! and Thanks for the all the hard work that those in the CTA do!!!! God Bless ya, Jaymz.
