 Be Very Afraid
I consider myself to be a very patriotic American. I believe completely in the values and principles this country was founded on and the constitution that ensures its Freedom. I respect and admire the indivduals who have served this country and am deeply thankful for those who gave their lives defending my country.
Too bad my country doesnt seem to exsist anymore and that the people of this country are so happy to give up everything the real patriots and heros of this country fought so gravely for. There is no freedom left and certainly our children's children will know no such thing ever exsisted or that there ever was a world in which the government was a tool of the people.
This documentary makes me sick. It should make you sick too.

I do to and I was very angry about that. I'm still brewing over it. It makes you sick to know that all the rights that these men and women are fighting for are no longer our rights. Everytime they make a big media whirl about something they pass a law to take away more of our rights....argh it makes me so angry...and it really does make you helpless...

Tip of the iceberg.
We've been slowly having our rights more and more restricted for a long time. It's hard to control a country with all those nasty rights protecting the people. And we've become a populace that is VERY easy to distract. It's not even slight-of-hand tricks anymore, they don't have to be so covert. All they have to do is wave a new cellphone or a shiny new car, or some over hyped "talent" show, and all the attention is off of them. "Them" being the politicans and big business.
Best advise I was ever given thus far in my short life:
* You need to register to vote, unless you are on welfare. If you are living off the efforts of others, please do us the favor of sitting down and shutting up until you are on your own again.
* When you do vote, your votes for the House and the Senate are more important than your vote for president. The House controls the purse strings, so concentrate your awareness there.
* Liars cannot be trusted, even when the liar is the president of the United States. If someone can't deal honestly with you, send them packing.
* Don't bow to the temptation to use the government as an instrument of plunder. If it is wrong for you to take money from someone else who earned it — to take their money by force for your own needs — then it is certainly just as wrong for you to demand that the government step forward and do this dirty work for you.
* Don't look in other people's pockets. You have no business there. What they earn is theirs. What you earn is yours. Keep it that way. Nobody owes you anything, except to respect your privacy and your rights, and leave you the hell alone.
The revered 40-hour workweek is for losers. Forty hours should be considered the minimum, not the maximum. You don't see highly successful people clocking out of the office every afternoon at five. The losers are the ones caught up in that afternoon rush hour. The winners drive home in the dark.
Free speech is meant to protect unpopular speech. Popular speech, by definition, needs no protection.
Sorry, I tend to get long-winded on these things.

watch it....no it is very true that we as a country can be easily distracted, and manipulated...half the time we are helping the government keep us in the dark we always say ignorance is bliss. But for how long? It's ok until you wake up one morning and wonder where all of your rights have gone. And sasha is right ppl who read this and are ok with it or could care less scare me the most.
