Democrats Wool Over The American Publics Eyes Game.

Just reading my news pages and came across a prime example of how Democrats use seemingly meaningless numbers to make a point to disuade, while the public at large reads their garbage and says, "Oh yeah, thats not much at all, forget it, not worth the trouble." What it really boils down to is the Democrats trying to pull the wool over the American publics eyes in an effort to impress upon them that something the Bush administration is suggesting is meaningless and a waste of time. Translated that means, DAMN!, the Republicans got a great idea here and are going to get credit for it unless we can bafoon the public into believeing its a non-issue until we are in power then we can reveal the same thing and take all the credit for it. This is what I found in a article on the Bush administrations plan for Tort reform as it applies to Medical Malpractice suits, and how much they cost the American Public each year. This is from a Fox article.

"Bush says tort reform is a key part of his plan to lower health care costs and help the more than 40 million uninsured Americans obtain coverage. Democrats in Congress say that won't amount to much savings, pointing to a year-old Congressional Budget Office report that said malpractice costs amount to only about 2 percent of overall health care spending."

With that in mind, I present some FACTS. This is from USA Today.

"Health care spending in the United States reached $1.6 trillion in 2002, an annual increase of 9.3%."

OK..... lets do the math shall we. Given that if the 9+% annual increase applies to 2003 as well as 2004 making the 1.6 TRILLION dolars a tad low. 1.6 TRILLION DOLLARS times 2% is..... If my math is correct.... $38,000,000,000. That is 38 BILLION DOLLARS NOT MUCH!!!

But thats just a drop in the bucket according to Liberal Democrats. emoticon

It's funny how it is just a wonderful idea when liberals come up with it (which will never happen, considering that tort reform takes money out of liberal lawyers' pockets), but conservatives don't know diddley squat when the idea is all theirs!
