Bush should go?
Bush has really screwed up the republican dreams for the future....
he and he alone has to take the blame for the war in iraq...and the war in Iraq is a blunder and the American people are going to dish out against anyone who sides with bush.
I think it is getting close to the time when the leadership of my republican party needs to starting thinking about the next presidentual election and thinking about being free of Bush...
I think we may now see a sign that there is a strong push within the republican party to suggest to Bush that for the good of the party, he step aside...
If Bush should go within the year, this would clear the decks for the next republican presidentual race....
If Bush is still in office in 08 the Dems will run against him....and they will win....\
However if Bush was gone and forgotten he might just take the war in Iraq in peoples minds with him on his way out the door....
So, it;'s not just the war that has to go away,,,but the cause of the war (Bush) has to go too....

Re: Bush should go?
I totally disagree with you. Overall, I think the president has done a great job. The mainstream media has constantly distorted the facts and undermined him at every step. They have given encouragement to the enemy and tried to sell Iraq as another Vietnam. There is a rising of Muslim terrorism. It was there before President Bush took office and will be there long after he dies. We can either fight it and continue our civilization or role over and cede the world to the terrorists. In my mind, there is no middle ground. And please remember that they attacked the World Trade Center and were unsuccessful. And waited years for the second successful attack. They don't care if their people die or how many. The terrorists want world domination, and they don't care how long it takes.
And the Democrats think that we can make nice with the terrorists. In my opinion, Europe has given up. Is that what we want to do? Give up?

Re: Bush should go?
I think,,,,that Bush is now openly admiting that the job got the best of him.
Have you noticed that the Bush guys that the president got us into the iraq war listening to,,,are being replaced?
The fact is that the new team of the new Sec Of defense and the important Baker comitee and with the downfall of Rumsfield...and what is now heard in washington as a down-playing of meetings between the VP and Bush,,,that right now President Bush is turning to his dad's friends to bail him out of the mess in Iraq.
Now remember the president's dad stopped our troops from placeing the iraq leadership in danger....we didnt go after him at all...
The reason is that the President's father knew that going into Iraq to do "nation Building" is not going to work.
Bush Sr himself called it a "another Vietnam"
Thus I really think now that the Republican leadership, (whats left of it anyway) has told President Bush that he has to end the war before the next election....
thats the timeline Bush is dealing with....thats why he suddenly started to change his tune away from 'Stay the course"
The problem is that if the republican party still has to run a guy for the White House in 08 with Bush still in office, the shadow of the Bush Blunders will be what that election is about.
So, if Bush is still in office in 08 it's the same as handing the White House to the Clintons.
Bush has to now take all the blame for our loss in iraq....
simply put , Bush had it all, he had a republican House, a Republican Senate, many very supportive Republican govenorships,,,and a rich rep[ublican farm team ....
Well, most of all that Bush has gotten rid of.
Bush will face the next 2 years of being dragged before one investagtion after anotherr
republicans can look foward to defending this President all the way out the door...
Simply put, Bush is not worth it to the republicans to defend anymore....
firing the sec of defence the day after the election shows me that Bush does not care about my Party anymore.
He needs to go....and soon...
