SteveA
My name is Steve. I'm the CCBM Secretary and can't get rid of the job.
I'm 46 - look it and feel it. I'm married and have no children. (That was planned for the kid's sake.) I'm currently unemployed but I've worked in Fisheries, been a Sonar Technician, Bartender, sheet metal fabricator and painter, chemical mix-ologist, computer guy and "president" of a small company.
I started life as a multi-species fisherman. Then I focused on Trout for many years. I even got into fly tying and Trout Unlimited. I got distracted with Scotch, women and 6 years in the Navy. Then I ran into work, work and more work. After a mid life crisis and and injury to my back I found myself looking to fish again. And here I am.
I'm a non-boater for financial reasons. But I'm going to win the lottery and then watch out.
After a bunch of years with Crown City I still haven't gotten away from my spinning gear. I did buy one baitcaster but it usually just gathers dust.
If you need an opinion I probably have one.

Jay Smithers
Hello everyone. My name is Jay. I met a few of you at the Feb meeting and I am happy to say that I recently joined the club. I am 30 and I live in Syracuse. I am a Syracuse firefighter and I love it. I am also in the Army Reserves. I am married with 2 kids and have I mentioned, I love to fish. I grew up fishing for a variety of fish. I am also an avid ice-fisherman. As far as tournament experience, I have little. The types of fishing tournaments that I have participated in were local $5/man, and you could use any type of bait you wanted. I grew up on the St. Lawrence and we used either a native minnow or crabs for bait. I do have a boat, but it doesn't meet club standards to enter in fishing events. However, it does allow me to get out on the water and fish on my own time.
To sum things up, I am very excited to be a member of Crown City Bassmasters and I am looking forward to participating in as many events possible. I am looking forward to meeting the other members. I will be fishing the draw trail, and my goal for the first season is to be Rookie of the Year. My email is available for anyone who would like to get together to fish this season.
