Freshwater drum....I need them for research...
Hi all,
This is Mike Bednarski, I was a member of CCBM in 2005 when I fished the trail when I was going to school at SUNY-ESF. I'm currently pursuing my Ph. D. at the University of Georgia, working with Atlantic Sturgeon (see picture a few posts down).
I'm wondering if you guys can do me a favor. My mentor at SUNY-ESF is in need of otoliths (ear stones) of freshwater drum (sheepshead) to do comparative research between Onondaga and Oneida Lake. I know its late in the season, but I'd appreciate it if anyone who catches one of these things out of either lake (Onondaga preferentially) would keep it. Just throw it in the freezer, and I can arrange pick up.
