Protecting your board

How do you protect your website against malware, viruses, and worms?

How do you know if your website has been infected?

Hi,

If you have your own website you can password protect it and encrypt the actual code but I don't know of a way to protect a message board... We just have to trust that Thor is doing what it takes at his end to keep the rest of us safe and keep our own anti-virus, firewall and spyware proggies up-to-date just in case...

Since I've been with runboard, there hasnt been a single incident of spyware/malware on boards that I'm aware of.

With javascript disabled now, its pretty difficult if not impossible to do unless they somehow managed to get an iframe on the board and infect your users that way.

So basically as long as you keep third party stuff off your board, your pretty safe.

Pretty much emoticon. Simple things like the cut and paste html codes for stats counters are pretty safe but you have to be careful about codes that ask you to set-up a iframe. For myself, I won't do a iframe unless I know and trust the source.
